Images approximately 255 x 355 mm each, sheet size 355 x 455 mm. All showing slight browning, the last title with spotting across most of the surface. John Rubens Smith made the original drawings from which these lithographs were taken, while working as a teacher in Boston. They record the removal of the peak of Beacon Hill with its eagle-topped beacon pole monument, which now resides behind the Massachusetts State House. Lot to be sold without reserve.
