Description

C. 20th Century. A fantastically imaginative Baroque Revival parlor suite in the manner of Venetian sculptor Andrea Brustolon (1662-1732). Suite includes a sofa and bergere, with elaborately carved Classical warrior figures at the arms and highly ornate scrolled acanthus motifs at the aprons and legs. Dimensions: (Sofa) H 36.5" x W 79" x D 39" x SH 18" ; (Chair) H 36.5" x W 35" x D 33.5" x SH 17" Condition: Excellent candidates for reupholstering. Rich patina to wood. A few small stress cracks and chips to carving. Soiling to fabric.
