Description

Rare and unique very old leather covered dome top steamer trunk with extensive brass studding, old iron hardware and lock, with lovely aged patina. Found with details of use on island of St. Marie de Madagascar (stamps and papers - not included in sale). Stunning design, beautiful as is for use as decorative piece, or could be a restoration project for the bold.

Condition

Very good condition for the age. Wear and pitting to the leather, including wear to leather fringe around. No signs of wormwood or any insect damage. No key present.
