DESCRIPTION: Two antique French Catholic religious prayer books, each with gilt edges, velvet binding accented with sterling silver or gilt-sterling silver latch and decoration:

(1) "Paroissien Romain" illustrated edition printed and published by Ernest Cornillac, 1858. Bound in blue velvet. "Paroissien" in sterling silver lettering on spine.
(1) "Nouveau Paroissien" published by A. Mame & Cie., 1847. With illustrations and colored page preceding title page. Bound in dark red velvet. Inscribed at front. "Paroissien" on spine.
