A pair of offset lithographs on paper, after original artwork by Honore Daumier, 1808 to 1879, a French painter and printmaker whose works offer commentary on the social and political life in France. Both artworks represent lawsuit caricatures, ca. 1850s. The first is titled Les Gens de Justice in the upper left, signed HD in the lower left, numbered 90 out of 500 in pencil in the lower left, signed De H. Daumier in pencil in the lower right. The second is titeld Types et Physionomies underneath, signed HD in the lower right, numbered 272 out of 500 in pencil in the lower left, signed De H. Daumier in pencil in the lower right.
