Description
Ca. 200-300 AD.A glass flask featuring a rounded lower body, a tubular neck gently flaring to a wide mouth, and a pronounced rim. The base of the flask is concave, adding to its stability when placed on a flat surface. In the Roman world, glass flasks such as this one were used to store and transport liquids, including oils, perfumes, and medicines. The use of glass for these vessels was significant as it allowed the contents to be visible and protected from contamination.
