Description
A pair of Canton enameled metal bowls and matching stands, Qing dynasty, each quatrefoil bowl with an inwarded rim, skillfully painted on the exterior with the Eight Buddhist Emblems surrounded by pleasing leafy flowers against a purple-blue ground, fitted on a stand with four supports in ruyi scepter form, and painted in gilt and enamels with flower spays amidst graceful leafy branches, and key-fret and floral bands, all against a rich sapphire blue ground (losses, discolorations, cracks to enamels and gilt paint, each bowl and stand has two small drilled holes), 7" high overall including stand.
