Description
A lobby card for the Spanish release of Night of the Living Dead (Image Ten, 1968) signed by George A. Romero. In Night, George A. Romero introduced modern zombies: decaying, murderous, flesh eating revived corpses who could rise from the grave anywhere in the world (prior to this film, zombies were often tied to "voodoo" in locales far away from the United States). The film was, at the time, unparallelled in its intensity and brutality. In his 1969 review, Roger Ebert famously expressed concern that the many kids attending a matinee were visibly traumatized by experience.
