Description
Large 19th Century Russian Czarist Era silver brooch. Featuring a sculpted silver angel - putti with wings, wearing a necklace. Decorated with enameled designs in black, white and gold, and accented with two bezel-set Lapis Lazuli pyramids, two green cut gemstones and 4 bezel-set pearls. Very ornate, attractive and finely made.
Stamped hallmarks : 84 / a partial city hallmark for Moscow / a maker's mark that may be a Cyrillic P with an unreadable letter next to it (possibly P.O. for Pavel Ovchinnikov). Also stamped on the top of the c-clasp with French import marks that are : DEP. (for Depose) and MM.

Weight - 26.4 grams
CONDITION : Excellent antique worn condition. One of the tiny silver balls is missing from the end of the square bezel of the green stone at the upper right. Some tarnish and wear - please see the photographs.
