Description

Rare Dion Patent Fluter with Six Original Pieces. This fluter is Patented August 21, 1866 and October 18, 1870. This iron has three matching original slugs, removable for heating. The slugs have the same curvature and fit the base or the hand roller. The most elusive part of the Dion might be the original handle to remove the slugs with. It is unbelievable that the handle has stayed with this fluter for roughly 150 years. The Dion measures 71/2" High X 4 5/8" Wide X 4 3/8" Deep. The Larry Mangus Collection, Corinth, Mississippi. Condition - Good condition. Some minor paint loss and wear.
