A Chinese Carved Architectural Frieze
Qing dynasty (1644-1912), a very finely carved wooden doorway frieze, decorated to the front and back sides with figures in layered relief design from a Chinese narrative, one side with large carved relief, set into an iron stand for display.
Frieze 13 x 40 x 10 1/2 in.. with Stand 24 1/4 x 40 x 10 1/2 in.
