Description
BLACK BLANKETS. Late 19th, early 20th century. This uncut example in scarlet with black striping embroidered with the initials "HAP" at one finished end. The four points visible as four thin straight lines above the broad end stripe. SIZE: 174" l x approx. 66" w. PROVENANCE: by descent through the family, John A Remick 1883-1973. CONDITION: good condition with no moth or insect damage. There is some spot staining near the uncut end of this pair in the proximity of the upper uncut half and additional less visible spot staining near the black stripe at the finished end. (05-433/TG). $500-600.
