Two Chinese famille rose statues of buddha
Republic period
Both with character marks to underside. (2).
H: 7 1/2, W: 7 7/8, D: 5 5/8 in.
H: 19.05, W: 20, D: 14.29 cm. (each)
Provenance: Estate of Yip Hon (1904-1997). Nicknamed Kwai Wong (translated as Ghost King), Yip Hon was a gambling tycoon in South China. He a amassed great wealth in the casinos there through his technique of listening dice, eventually opening his own casino.
Republic period
Both with character marks to underside. (2).

Condition
Both with glaze wear to head. One with repairs to both nipples. The other in overall good condition.
