East Asia, China, Republic Period, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A hand-carved stone double koi fish pendant symbolizing wealth, and a stone bi disc, both are pierced for suspension. The bi disc form is styled after traditional funerary implement in Neolithic and early Dynastic China. Size of fish: 3.3" L x 2" W (8.4 cm x 5.1 cm)
