Advertising Piece, meant to be mounted on a wall, with head raised outwards from the shoulders, having striking negroid features, carved from a single piece of very dense and heavy hardwood, signed and dated on the back. Believed to have been used to announce a slave auction in the South. Roughly 11 1/2" x 10" x 13 1/2".
