Louis XVI stained fruitwood and kingwood marquetry drop-front secretary or secretaire a abbatant, apparently unsigned, circa 1780 or later, the canted rectangular breche d'Alep marble top above a conforming case with ormolu ribbon-tied garland-form lock plates, the face of the drop-front with green-stained satinwood ribbon inlay centering bookmatched kingwood veneer above two cabinet doors, the drop front opening to reveal a fitted mahogany and kingwood interior. 55" H x 38" W x 15" D.
