Antique Victorian Renaissance 4 arm gas chandelier with star cut glass shades - electrified.This light fixture is a mixed metal chandelier being cast and spun bronze and spelter (white metal). I do believe this is a Cornelius & Baker design. These are original cut glass shades.This all original 4 arm gas light was electrified within the last 20 years with all the original parts, of course with the exception of the standard base brass sockets. Circa 1860. 28" long x 29" wide------------------------------------------------------- I was asked about why I had attributed this to Cornelius & Baker? .... Well because of the attention this has been getting I decided to do a little more research and although I know of C & B as making beautiful heavy cast bronze chandeliers and mostly with arms and bodies with figures, I found a few similar to this chandelier (body parts mainly) in which people had called them Cornelius & Baker. As you may notice I put the ? after this attribution because I myself am not convinced that this is Cornelius & Baker. I will leave up to you to decide who you may think the maker of this wonderful chandelier is.***** None the less though, this is a wonderful chandelier with awesome detail.*****

Good, some pieces are loose and when rewired they used the original shade holders which become flimsy.
