Item Details

Description

A French Empire style burr yew wood veneer bureau Ovale de Avocat desk having leather top with applied brass figural and floral friezes including mirrored sphinxes on drawers and other mythological figures on door and side panels. The desk has three top drawers including one large center drawer and two cabinets on left and right side. The opposing side has false front cabinets and drawers.

SHIPPING
Atlanta Auction Gallery will not ship this lot in house. The buyer is responsible for arranging White Glove delivery, independent courier, or Freight shipment. Auction house will supply preferred shipper list.

Condition

Fair condition overall two small side drawers are missing ring pulls. Base trim piece is loose (included separately). Oxidation to base brass trim and separation of wood veneer due to dog urine. Cabinet has been cleaned around base. Cabinet is very sturdy and fully functional otherwise.
