A rare and unusual pair of Norwegian mid-century lounge chairs designed by Torbjorn Afdal and manufactured by Bruksbo, Norway. Designed in the late 1960's and produced c. 1970's, these Scandinavian modern easy chairs feature subtly flared sides with sculptural armrests. Rich, warm stained beech frames complement the handsome wine red tufted leather cushions. Caned sides and back are reminiscent of traditional bergere chairs, while the overall silhouette speaks to Afdal's refined Scandinavian modern minimalist influence.
