Chinese Qing Dynasty Kangxi Blue and White Porcelain Washing Pot. Potted with a shallow body, slight deep, flaring round rim, globular heavy on lower body, raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color, depicted of group merchant walking on the grass field beside dense tree rocky rock and cumulus clouds. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. Made in The Years Kangxi Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
