Description
SHEET-IRON PREMIER COMBINATION NO. 1 DARK ROOM LAMP / LANTERN, square form and slightly tapered, one side fitted with a hinged cover embossed "PREMIER COMBINATION LAMP NO. 1" opens to reveal a large ruby glass window pane, reverse with a sliding door for removing and operating lamp, another side with a small sliding door and fitted with a circular amber glass pane, remaining side with a hinged door which opens to reveal a white glass pane, top with vent holes and a small bail handle, supported by four figural paw feet with claws. Interior fitted with a sheet-iron cylinder-form font and a Nutmeg burner. 19th century. 13" HOA, 5 3/4" x 6 1/4".

Very good overall condition, expected wear and scattered denting, several small repairs. Font in very good condition with some scattered rust.
