Description
CAST-IRON BRACKET LAMP, later black paint, simple scrolled arm with four concave sides, attached font holder with large openwork panels, upper post for supporting a reflector, fitted with a colorless Shield patterned bracket font with lower panels of scrolls, No. 2 fine-line collar. Fitted with a period setup comprising a No. 2 Collins slip burner, stamped brass 4 1/4" D shade ring, a colorless globular-form shade with flared rim. Non-period colorless chimney. Third quarter 19th century. Bracket 9 1/2" HOA, 10 1/2" WOA. Font 5" H to top of collar.

Excellent overall condition, bracket font holder with a small loss to the rim possibly as made and with expected scattered losses to paint, font undamaged. burner undamaged, shade ring with denting and ill-fitting, shade and chimney undamaged with normal as-made roughness to the fitters, reflector with repairs to peg juncture and expected wear
