CAST-IRON PATENTED JOSEPH SIMPSON BRACKET LAMP, later dark brown paint, stylized arm with dot and scroll pattern, font holder is supported by the upper scroll, interior of holder impressed "PAT DEC 12 82", hinged post for supporting a reflector, cast-iron wall plate for supporting arm with a match holder pocket, fitted with a colorless Radford bracket font with scalloped ribs, side-refill feature, No. 2 fine-line collar. Fitted with a period setup comprising a No. 2 Collins slip burner and a colorless bulge-form chimney, period reflector. Third quarter 19th century. Bracket 8 1/2" HOA, 13 1/2" WOA. Font 3 1/2" H to top of collar.

Condition
Excellent condition, bracket undamaged, reflector hinge arm is frozen, font undamaged and lacking refill cap. Burner deflector with some light denting, chimney undamaged, reflector with expected wear.
