HOBBS PILLAR-MOLDED AND CUT FONT KEROSENE STAND LAMP, colorless font, opaque white Hobbs monumental style base with octagonal-form stem, Hobbs brass clinch connector with patent information, No. 2 fine-line collar. Fitted with an Atwood's Comet No. 2 slip burner, embossed on deflector "COMET ATWOOD'S PAT. OCT. 13. 1863". 4 1/4" stamped shade ring, colorless with frosted finish cut and engraved ball-form shade with geometrical pattern of punties, diamonds and triangles, Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. Third quarter 19th century. 18 1/2" H to top of collar, 5" SQ overall foot. Shade 6" H, 4" D fitter.

Condition
Font undamaged, base foot edges and corners with some losses/flakes/roughness, base with some scattered as-made imperfections including bubbles and annealing lines. Burner deflector with some light denting, shade and chimney fitters each with a shallow chip and several minor flakes/roughness.
