MT. WASHINGTON SPOT-OPTIC FLORAL ENAMEL-DECORATED SALT AND PEPPER SHAKERS, LOT OF TWO, rubina with polychrome-enamel decoration, each cylindrical form with as assortment of flowers on each example, each having a period lid, fitted into a quadruple-plate stand marked for "JAMES W. TUFTS" numbered "604". Mt. Washington Glass Co. Fourth quarter 19th century. 3 7/8" to 4 1/4" HOA. Stand: 6" HOA. Literature: Parallels Lechner - The Wold of Salt Shakers, Volume III, p. 104, bottom right.

Condition
Shaker with finial having a bruise to the shoulder, and a minute flake to the base edge; each having some scattered light wear; stand having some bending, one ring having a solder repair.
