The bowls are both signed on the bottom DT / TP (corn cipher picture hallmark) SDP”, SDP meaning Santo Domingo Pueblo. Both have the same iconic traditional geometric polychrome painted pattern in black and white / cream with a red slip base. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce was also the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was both part museum and gallery, this piece is directly from the collection.
