RARE AND DESIRABLE SETH THOMAS ABOVE-BELL YACHT CLOCK
America, Circa 1885
Presentation inscription "Myles Standish from Wm F. Palmer" on bell, which is suspended from a U-shaped nickel mount above the nickel-plated case. Hinged bezel with metal clasp. Silvered dial with engraved wax-filled Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial. Two winding posts; runs for two days. Signed "Seth Thomas" on dial. Original decorative Seth Thomas paper advertising label affixed to the back.
Height 10". Depth 3.25". Bezel diameter 6.25".

Condition

Original nickel finish. The dial has a few abrasions to the finish but is highly readable. Believed to be in working order.
