A pair of railroad dining car china for Northern Pacific in the Garnet pattern. The 6" x 5" ice cream shell is bottom marked with the Theodore Haviland & Co hallmark and Made expressly for The Northern Pacific Railway Co. The dish shows light utensil marks, stacking wear, and leftover sticker adhesive on the bottom. The 9" dinner plate is bottom marked Mayer China Made Expressly for No. Pacific R.R. The plate shows heavy signs of wear with moderate utensil scratches, discoloration along the edge, and stacking wear. There is a 1" piece along the underside of the edge that has broken off.
