Description
Three Walter Addison stenciled and hand painted artworks on Masonite panels, including 2 zebras and one of owls perched on tree branch (unframed -not signed, but attributed to Addison) - each measures 14 1/2" x 17 1/4" - circa 1940-50 during his tenure as the lead artist of the Bronx Zoo. Very good condition. Provenance: Consigned by family. All artwork was found in his cottage in Washington Depot, Connecticut, on the banks of the Shepaug River, where he lived with his wife Rhoda from 1965 until his death in 1982.
