Description

A vintage leather fireman's helmet in old red paint - loss to the paint on the front shield - the beak of a metal eagle's head holds the shield in place and is signed at the base "Cairns & Bro" (New York), 19th century. The front rim with leather breaks, wear to the interior, alligatored finish throughout and overall fair condition. Measures 13 1/2"D x 10 3/4"W x 8"H.
