Description

Offered in this lot is a handmade turquoise bolo tie by Mark Chee. This stunning slide has a larger, nice turquoise cabochon resting in a handmade bezel with eye-catching filework on the edges. The slide is on a black braided cord with hand stamped silver tips. This bolo tie is by a renown Navajo artist and his work is quite collectible.
MAKER: Hallmarked CHEE in a bird design, STERLING HANDMADE (stamped). Mark Chee (1914-1981; Navajo). Active 1934-1942 and 1945-1970s. He attended the Santa Fe Indian School.
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning somewhere between the 1930s to 1970s).
SIZE: The leather cord measures 38 inches overall including the tips. The slide measures 2 1/8 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. The total weight for this item is 42.3 grams (with most of the cord off the scale).
CONDITION: Good for its age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
