Description
This is an antique lot of two framed 18th century engravings by Jacques Callot (French, c1592-1635). Of noble birth, Callot was a baroque printmaker and draftsman from the Duchy of Lorraine. These two plates come from a series of 16 original etchings, 1617-1621.
From the Upstate New York estate of Marshall and Kay Lee. Marshall was a well known collector of Pre-Columbian pottery and a talented and well-respected book designer in the publishing industry.
The frame is 17 3/4 x 11 1/4" and the sight is 15 7/8 x 10 1/4". The mat sight is 4 1/4 x 4"

Condition
Minor toning. A few thin spots in the corners. Laid into paper margins. Nice clear impressions.
