VF- (7.5). Gorgeous copy held back from NM (9.2) by a few small defects: a few slight spine ticks, scuff to man's right arm on front cover, very faint cover crease with no color break, small paper break (3mm) near top edge of back cover. Cream to light tan pages. Potential to slab at 8.0, possibly 8.5 if pressed. SIGNED by AL FELDSTEIN (bottom margin of inside front cover), AL WILLIAMSON (bottom margin of 3rd story, "The Arrival"), and GEORGE EVANS (inscribed "To Paul / George Evans," bottom margin of 4th story, "Seep No More"). GPAnalysis: A 7.5 sold for $850 in 11/22.

Provenance: The signatures of Al Feldstein, Al Williamson and George Evans were obtained by Paul Wardle, who has owned this copy since 1990. Included with the comic is a letter from Mr. Wardle, which notes the following:

"Signed by Al Williamson October 6th, 1991. Toronto Hilton (Toronto, Ontario).

Signed by George Evans October 6th, 1991. Toronto Hilton (Toronto, Ontario).

Signed by Albert B. Feldstein June 20th, 1996. Dragon Con (Atlanta, Georgia).

I have owned this copy for 32 yrs. All signatures were witnessed by me."

Mr. Wardle is an EC comics scholar of outstanding reputation. He interviewed George Evans a year after this mag was signed by him, and the interview has been published in The Comics Journal #177 (1995), Comic Book Marketplace #87 (2001), and the Comics Journal Library Vol. 8: The EC Artists (2013). Mr. Wardle told PBA's Director of Comics that "Al Williamson was sitting next to George Evans the day I first met him, so both signed at the same con on the same day."
