Spine stress, small rubs near bottom spine, light edgewear, small creases to bottom right corner of front cover, back cover and most pages dampsoiled at bottom spine and bottom edges, nice cover gloss. Cream to off-white pages. Cover: Bill Everett. Art: Jim Mooney, George Tuska, Jack Hearne (Bill Savage inks), Chuck Winter, Tony DiPreta. GPAnalysis: No reported sales in this grade. A 3.5 sold for $166 in 5/22.

#118: VG (4.0). Spine stress, bottom staple pulled, a few small edge chips, light edgewear, small corner creases, abrasion with a bit of residue to back cover edge, several 1" edge tears to several pages, distributor's rubberstamp to word balloon ("JUL 10 1953") and pencilled squiggle to blurb box. Cream pages. Cover: Sol Brodsky. Art: Russ Heath, Sid Greene, Hy Rosen, Dick Briefer, Gene Colan. GPAnalysis: A 4.0 sold for $175 in 10/20.

Guy who resembles a mustachioed Bill Gaines attacked by zombie; divorced guy angry with the judge's settlement order chops his son in half with an ax ("The judge said your mother and I would have to split EVERYTHING we own fifty-fifty! ...So I'm taking the top half... OF YOU!"); crazy Sol Brodsky cover depicting a werewolf shooting drugs with a hypodermic needle. In between the hairy palms and the hypo, Brodsky's cover image was a '50s parent's worst nightmare.
