Description
A Chinese Neolithic enameled ceramic tripod bowl,named "Yan" a kind of food utensils and ceremonial utensils in ancient China, generally made of pottery or bronze, dated to Han Dynasty(202BC-220 BC Set on three rather tall curved tripod feet the bowl rises outward and forms a circular rim, above that a dome shape with a wide mouth and flat rim, which rises a small amount. Body decorated with swirls of red colors, faded over the millennia.
H. 4" (10.1 cm), D. 8" (20.3 cm)
Provenance: collection of a private Maryland collector, purchased from Galaxie Art & Gift Co., in Hong Kong

Condition: good condition overall with some losses to the pigments, general surface wear and discoluration due to its extremely age and usage
