Description

A 13 piece estate lot of German porcelain by Royal Bayreuth (Bavaria) and other makers. Postwar patterns, produced circa 1950s. Includes: four (4) table servers in the Devil and Cards pattern, produced as advertising ware to promote Bermuda travel, including one (1) each creamer, mug, pitcher, matchstick holder, all stamped to underside ROYAL BAYREUTH BAVARIA GERMANY US ZONE. Accompanied by five (5) German porcelain lettuce and lobster ware salad plates, and one (1) matching bowl with relief crustacean designs and stamped to underside COPYRIGHTED 1902 H.W. (possibly A.W.) GERMANY; one (1) lobster and nautilus shell creamer or saucer pitcher (no backstamp); and two (2) lettuceware plates with stem handles, both having backstamp to underside ROYAL BAYREUTH BAVARIA. Large bowl measures approximately 2.75" x 10.5" x 9.5". Large pitcher measures approximately 7.75" x 8" x 5".

Condition: Good to fair overall condition having average age related surface wear. Devil set has age related loss to lacquer finish. Estate fresh to the market.
