Bisque-headed lady with blue paperweight eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, delicately feathered brows ,closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde, blonde mohair wig, and metal hands. The carton torso with shapely bodice forms into a full-length cone-shaped skirt form that is hidden beneath her gown. Also hidden is a metal tinplate platform with three small wheels. When wound, she glides forward, turns and continues, while turning her head from side to side as though in time to the tune she plays by moving her right fingers across the strings of her wooden guitar. Commentary: Circa 1870s, rare deluxe automaton with graceful movements which are enhanced by the beautiful lady who has finest quality pale bisque and original costume; well functioning mechanism.
