Description
Chinese Inside-Painted Glass Snuff Bottle, and a Group of Stands, Stoppers and Miniature Porcelain Dishes. The snuff bottle of tall flattened form and of oval section, painted in shades of brown and grey with a view of two small figures and a pavilion in a continuous landscape of trees and mountains, red seal and calligraphic inscription upper left of one side "Painted at the Capital (Peking) on the ninth of day the Moon of the Year 1890 Keng Yin by Chou Lo-Yuan," fitted with a coral stopper. Together with a group of six stoppers, thirteen hardwood and bone stands, four hardstone animals, a pair of porcelain snuff saucers and a jadeite saucer, and nine mother-of-pearl loo counters housed in a carved bone box.
