Description
Boy Seated on the Bench. Made by the J. & E. Stevens Company. Cromwell, Connecticut - Circa 1897. Ex - Al & Nora Hancock Collection. A boy has jumped off his mule to give him some discipline, admonishing the lowly beast with the stick in his hand. However, the mule turns the tables on the boy, spinning around and kicking him over. This is a terrific example of the bank with fully saturated color and exceptional white lettering.
