A Victorian Cased Silverplate and Glass Travel Vanity
English, second half 19th century, exotic veneered box with inlaid brass shield escutcheon and matching cartouche monogrammed "To / Annie / from / John & Edith / June 26 / 1879," interior with mirrored lid provisioned with (8) silverplate lidded glass jars and boxes, (2) glass stoppered bottles, a scent bottle, and three mother of pearl handled vanity tools, lower side drawer opens to a aubergine velvet lined and divided interior.
Box 6 3/4 x 12 x 9 in.; tallest bottle 3 3/8 in.;

Some scratches and minor veneer cracks; compartment dividers detached from interior, most with some marks but present with lot; two smallest jars each with small chip.
