Description
English sterling silver teapot with a hinged lid, rolled edges, a feather plume handle, and resting on four ball feet, ca. 1786-1821. Marked with a sterling lion passant and a George III duty mark along the interior of the lid. Further marked along the handle.
Height: 6 in x width: 11 1/2 in x depth: 5 1/4 in. Gross weight of sterling: 22.32 Troy oz.

Condition
No visible cracks or losses. Light wear throughout as expected from age and use. Old polish collected along the recessed areas. Dent along the upper side of the lid, the tip of the spout, side of the exterior, and along the feet. There is a dent to the decoration along the upper side of the handle as shown in the listing image. No dent along the area where the lid and the body meets. Discoloration along the interior. Surface scratches throughout, most noticeably along the underside of the pot. No visible signs of restoration under UV light.
