Description
Aesthetic movement walnut chair in a modern Gothic style, ca. 1875. Early Arts & Crafts walnut armchair with tusk tenon joinery. Likely produced by F.W. Krause, Chicago or Kimbel & Cabus, New York.

Condition
The chair is structurally sound and stable. The arms are very slightly loose. There are small chips, scratches, and wear throughout. Wear throughout consistent with age and use. There are some accretions throughout including some residual adhesive, likely from a label, along the back. There are no rips, tears, or losses to the upholstery. The padding is slightly depressed from use. All upholstery nails are present.
