Description
One 18th century Chinese elmwood rectangular form low scholar's table.
Provenance: The collection of Bruce Dayton and Ruth Stricker Dayton - Selections from The Marsh, Minnetonka, Minnesota.

Condition
There is heavy wear throughout including small chips, scuffs, watermarks, and scratches along the top. There are a few small chips along the sides. There are some separations to the joints throughout. Along the joints along the top of the table there is a filler between the center piece and edge pieces. The black lacquer paint along the underside has chipped and flaked off; only remnants remain. There are two newer support beams affixed along the underside, visible in the lot listing. Wear and some minor losses along the underside of the legs, consistent with age and use.
