Kondraty Fedorovich Ryleev, Russian, 1795 to 1826, oil painting on canvas depicting a self portrait of Kondraty Ryleev standing on the Neva Embankment opposite Peter and Paul Fortress. Signed lower right. Framed. Circa: early 19th century. Kondraty Fedorovich Ryleev, a Russian poet, public figure, and Decembrist, was one of the five executed leaders of the Decembrist uprising of 1825. Provenance: Purchased by the present owner from Raydon Gallery in the 1990s. Russian Imperial Historical and Military Personality, Oil Paintings, Wall Art, and Collectibles. One of a kind of artwork.
