Tyrus Wong was a Chinese-born American painter, animator, calligrapher, muralist, ceramicist, lithographer and kite maker, as well as a set designer and storyboard artist. He is most famous for his work as Lead Production Illustrator on Disney's Bambi (1942).

We have not taken this work out of the frame. Viewing it under glass there is some light foxing on the work. There are some 'soft' wrinkles in the paper seen under the glass with a few light creases apparent as well. Looking to the far left lower portion of the work there appears to be some light water lines. We are unsure what to make of the "U" shaped image on the picture located top center at the matting edge as it looks to be the same type of ink/watercolor of that cloud in the same area.Any condition statement is given as a courtesy to a client, is an opinion, and should not be treated as a statement of fact.
