A French Bronze and Marble Clock
Movement Signed Japy Frères, 19th Century
the movement further stamped C.T in a circle and 6 4, inscribed Morel Picaro(?) 15 to the interior of the case.
Height 18 x width 10 x depth 5 inches.
This lot is located in Chicago.
Condition
Appears in fair condition. The marble with flaked chips and scuffs throughout. Small areas of discoloration to the stone. No evidence of significant breaks or restoration. The dial with small chips around the edges and a hairline crack above the numeral I. The glass cover for the dial is detached and in need of repair. Ahesive residue to the marble on the back of the clock. Both winding posts take a wind, but the clock is lacking a winding key, pendulum, and bell. Clock has not been tested for time keeping and will need service by an horologist. Condition reports are available upon request.
