Large group of (16) 19th century New York coin silver spoons, to include: (5) New York City tipt fiddleback spoons, comprising pair of Brower & Rusher tablespoons, having pseudo-hallmark with ''W'', pair of John Brock teaspoons, inscribed ''S.A. White'', and Ball, Black & Co. threaded ladle, (teaspoons with dents); fiddleback tablespoon, Erastus Cook, Rochester, (heavily worn monogram); set of (8) fiddleback teaspoons, Murdock & Andrews, Utica, (one with split, some with dents); and pair of tipt fiddleback tablespoons, marked ''J. Herrick''. All marked. Minor wear. Ladle 13-3/4''l; total approximate weight 21.9 troy oz. Provenance: Estate of Joseph ''Jay'' St. Mark, PhD, of Newtown, Connecticut, historian, appraiser, and collector of fine Americana.
