Victorian two-piece sterling silver tea set, Walker & Hall, Sheffield, 1896, having stop-reeded bodies with scrolled foliate design, wood knops and wood handles, to include: teapot, (handle slightly loose and with minor dirt and grime); and coffeepot. Hallmark on sides, additional maker's mark on bottoms. Dents, scratches. Teapot 7''h, 4-5/8''w, 11''d; coffeepot 10''h, 4''w, 9-5/8''d; total approximate weight 45.9 troy oz. Provenance: Estate of Joseph ''Jay'' St. Mark, PhD, of Newtown, Connecticut, historian, appraiser, and collector of fine Americana.
