Group of (2) Georgian sterling silver ladles having tipt handles and engraved family crests with rampant lions, to include: George IV ladle, Joseph Hicks, Exeter, 1829, with lion holding a sprig, hallmarked, (dents); and George III ladle, London, 1800, having lion emerging from crown and holding flag bearing a cross, hallmarked with ''W.S'' maker's mark in an oval, (incised marks from previous owner on handle). Minor wear. Larger 13-1/4''l; total approximate weight 12.3 troy oz. Provenance: Estate of Joseph ''Jay'' St. Mark, PhD, of Newtown, Connecticut, historian, appraiser, and collector of fine Americana.
