Description
After Carrier Belleuse, large sculpture in terracotta featuring a group of four putti dancing at Bacchanale, at their feet bunches of scattered grapes. The base has a golden patina to imitate a wooden base. Circa the 19th century. Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse, 1824 to 1887, was a French sculptor. He was one of the founding members of the Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts, and was made an officer of the Legion of Honor. Antique French Terracotta Sculptures For Collectors.
